Work in Progress screenshots: Tongass/Misty

Postby BC_Holger on Fri Aug 31, 2007 5:59 am

Hi all,

if nothing else but to show that I'm not on vacation anymore 8) I wanted to share a couple of development shots taken in the last few days.

When I showed those first shots last December (!) I was blissfully unaware how much work really is needed to develop a landscape/airfield package that fully utilizes what FSX has to offer in terms of data/texture resolution and features. Basically, we started from scratch...

It looks like as if Tongass Fjords will be ready before Misty Fjords because we want to add custom airfields and other features to Misty so that it will be more similar to Tongass in terms of features.

Anyway, here are some development shots highlighting the all-new ground and water textures as well as a couple of small airstrips (Scud River and Bronson Creek). Enjoy!

Cheers, Holger

Holger, as always your work is amazing! Those glaciers are an especially wonderful touch. You don't seem to miss the little details that elevate a work from being mundane and ordinary into a true masterpiece! :D

At last my all-times favorites are coming to FSX.
Simply beauty on binary code.

Thanks!

Wow Holger, really really looking great. As you know 'we' (you and me) did a little touchup for Bronson Creek in TF FS9, but only the 'default' version shown above blows my mind and looks more like the real thing than I ever could achieve in FS9.

Compliments!! :D :!:

These are excellent products in FS9; it's almost unimaginable how they can become much better in FSX. Your shots here, Holger, only prove that we all have something of great beauty to look forward to! :D
Best wishes from 70N,

All I can say is WOW, being an Alaskan Winds Pilot this will be a must have for sure, I think I know what I will be telling everyone I want for Christmas this year if its out by then. One question though, will this be compatable with FS Global 2008, and Ultimate terrain Alaska in FSX?

Keep up the Great work guys
