Hi there,
Guido, I'm not 100% sure I understand your question. Mesh files are independent of the other scenery elements (lakes, roads, buidlings, etc.) an add-on may contain but, as with Misty Fjords, the mesh files may be included in the same folder as the scenery elements and I guess that's what your question is about. My comments above are specific to Misty Fjords in relation to other LOD10 (38-m) add-on mesh (FSGlobal 2005, for example, is LOD9 (76m) and the Misty Fjords mesh will automatically override it, no matter where it sits in the Scenery Library). For all other add-ons you should always refer to the instructions provided by the author.
The two Misty Fjords entries don't have to be at the top of your Scenery Library, they can be moved further down as long as they stay above the default entries (the bottom 38 entries) and MF scenery remains above MF landscape.
Bill, the confusion stems from the fact that the entries in the scenery.cfg file appear to be in the opposite order to what one sees in the Scenery Library. However, a higher "Layer=" value in the scenery.cfg means that entry is located higher in the Scenery Library. Thus, Alastair partial printout of his scenery.cfg is correct as is my screenshot of the Scenery Library. As long as the order of the Misty Fjords scenery entries looks like in my screenshot of the Scenery Library you should not have any issues with shorelines etc.
Cheers, Holger
