Jumping mountain tops

Postby psykie on Tue Oct 25, 2005 6:13 am

Hello everyone:

I noticed when I fly the Lear 45 around and when I look to the distance sometimes (most of the time), the tips of mountain tops in the foreground are dancing, or moving sporadically up and down. What causes this and how do I fix this?

Does anyone know about these jumping/moving mountain tops? Where the TIPS of the mountains move up and down.

It depends.

If the mountains are at or near the limit of your visual range - then it is normal as FS determines how to draw the mountains.

A better world level mesh might help - and adjusting the sight limits in the FS display properties.

Thanks Fields. I had a feeling thevisual range had something to do with it.

Well Matthew;

I used to have the same problem, but since UPGRADING to Jim Beam
from "Generic" Bourbon I'm no longer plagued with it :shock:

Try it, may not cure the problem but at least you will hardly notice it :lol:
