Which scenery?

Postby Benoit on Mon Jul 02, 2007 4:57 pm

I'm already searching a good scenery for FSX. I know Vancouver+ will be release for july (but maybe later?) A scenery for st-bartheleemy and antilles should be nice, like st-bart airport is so cool. I'm suprised to see that both from France VFR and FlyTampa are not released for FSX yet?

Should I wait? Because I bought the new (but so old in fact 8) ) Dornier Do-27 X and I'm searching scenery to make relax flight and enjoy the view.

Thanks in advanced and have a nice day
Ben.
(what an amazing product this Do-27 by Digital Aviation, isn't it?)

OMG! I seen right now that Vancouver+ for FSX is out now!

I wasn't in the past hour and now it's release. A sign of God

Ok, only a simple "good timing" :D

By the way, I would like to know which scenery you suggest me for FSX please.

Ben.

Hi Ben,

Not sure if you know about Aerosoft or not, but here's a couple of their apps.

You also get the FS9 versions for free (if you're still using FS9).

They also have top-notch support and listen to their customers.

I have both of the above apps and they're really great!

P.S. I see you've already got VAN+ for FSX. Right on! :P

I'm a beta tester for VAN+ and it's one awesome scenery app!!!

Well, Ben, if you haven't already started the download, then Vancouver+ is definitely it!

It'll save you money too - you won't want to fly anywhere else for weeks.

I was on the beta team, and believe me, despite the necessary work to find problems, we all enjoyed the Vancouver area from day one. Breathtaking is a fair word to use even though it is (only) a computer sim - and a very cheap on at that (you will not get "Industrial Light and Magic" in Microsoft FS)

After a month or so, I see no sign of this area wearing on me - and I have gathered over 100 flight hours in ths Vancouver area so far.

And in Autumn (Fall), when the Larch start to change colour, a flight over the countryside is just way too beautiful to miss - enjoy!

I'm sure I will enjoy it a long time! Especially if you tell me
For now, it's perfect! Multiple hours flying in moutains with my last plane addition (so nice bush plane) 8)

Thx a lot Puppy, chris. And ENJOY! :P

Hi peejayh,
sorry if it took some times before I answered your question, I flown all the evening in Vancouver+ 8)

Well, what could I say is: Fantastic!
So nice moutains. So very nice all those regional airport. Lots of traffic that don't very make diff on my FPS, except at Vancouver itself. That, my FPS go down to 8-10, but this city has so lots of detailed buildings! And I play with the aircraft to ultra-high, VC need it. (I have lot of fun when trying to pass through these buildings with a light craft, sometimes I pass, sometimes not  ) Note I have a mid rigs (1Gb + nvidia Go7300(256Mb + 256 shared). I prefer to fly over those bunch of regional or private airport/strip.

And I'm sure I seen only a little part of it.

This packs is very immersive. Lot than the default game. There has lot of sounds. I suggest to discover it with a light aircraft. Bush flying rules!

Yes, I recommand you this pack!

Also, I can't play with lots of traffic inside default FSX and then I can't compare with a good default experience playing. But the Vancouver+ scenery has absolutely nothing to compare with default one.

I'm really happy and satisfied! So many hours to discover the entire area.

Thx to all of those who work on it.

Enjoy!
Ben.

Well done Ben. Wait till you fly low up one of the many valleys... or try to land a Maule (Skis) on the ski slope north of Vancouver or install Nigel Grant's freeware Vancouver international Airport or go gliding from Pemberton... (see if you can make it to the city...) or do some barnstorming at Chilliwack-Rosedale...

Hey Chris,
thx so much for those very good ideas! Land on top of Whistler, Amazing!

But I'm missing something. You said there has a good free addon for Vancouver intl airport, right? But I was thinking is already in High-Detailed in Vancouver+.
